Technical IoT Consultant

Job description

About IXON

Since our start in 2014, IXON has rapidly grown into a major international player in the industrial sector. We’ve made promises, and delivered on them. In doing so, we've created trust. With partners, with customers, with our employees. Keeping machines running, that's why we do it. A machine builder’s job used to be done after delivering the machine. Nowadays, they remain involved throughout its entire lifespan. All to ensure that the machine runs as optimally as possible. Our activities focus on aiding in the 3 main pain points of the modern and innovative machine builder:

● Minimising lost production time by solving > 60% of failures remotely to save time and improve customer satisfaction;

● Improving machine quality, construction and uptime with data analysis and machine learning;

● Creating new revenue streams and higher customer loyalty by enabling new business models.

But how? By connecting the machines to the cloud, in a platform in which all machine service, maintenance and data analysis is managed. With the IXON Cloud platform and supporting hardware, we deliver the technology, so the machine builder can focus on what they do best: collaborate with clients, provide service, and share insights.

What will you be working on?

As a Technical IoT Consultant you will help machine builders around the world with their IoT challenges. Machine builders are in the middle of a transition in which they not only deliver machines to their customers, but also provide new services around these machines - everything to make their customers’ production more efficient and to further unburden their customers.

IXON offers machine builders a ready-to-go IoT platform and the hardware needed to connect machines to the Cloud. As a Technical IoT Consultant you will support our customers with the concept development and implementation of IoT projects. At an early stage, you conduct exploratory talks with the machine builders, realise a concept and present this, together with the account managers, to the customer’s project team. Projects may include the development of customized web components, integrations via API’s with other systems, authentication between different systems, data processing with BI tools, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning solutions, Virtual Reality interfaces and linking microservices. It always concerns new innovative projects of high-tech companies (machine builders).

Besides advising IXON prospects, you will work out use-cases and projects in such a way that your colleagues and IXON distributors can spread your knowledge around the world. All with the goal of making production all over the world a little more efficient.

Within your role it is important to stay up-to-date with the latest technical developments and 3rd party solutions. You do this by keeping your eyes and ears open with IXON’s customers and partners.

In return, we expect honesty, responsibility and flexibility. A common philosophy is central to our work: Think Big, Start Small, Scale Fast. Our team is focused on making an impact – from day one. Set goals, roll up your sleeves and get cracking. But don’t worry, we never forget to have fun and enjoy ourselves. Whether it's a table tennis tournament, Christmas breakfast or a relaxed Friday afternoon drink, we always have a good time along the way.
